Cricket World Cup is the championship of ODI (One Day International) cricket (also referred as ODI World Cup or ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup) organised by ICC (International Cricket Council) every 4 years.
ODI Cricket World Cup was a 60 over format game from 1975 to 1983. The 50 over format was implemented from 1987.
It is one of the biggest sports tournaments in the world. The first World Cup being played on 7 June 1975, 12 world cup tournaments have been played until now.
Just like the Men’s ODI Cricket World Cup, there has been a Women’s ODI Championship also conducted in 1973.
